Description
Capture the honeyed warmth of the Cotswolds in your next build with our Cotswold Gold Tumbled Building Stone. Newly quarried and individually tumbled, it combines the timeless beauty of traditional Cotswold stone with the consistency and practicality needed for modern construction.
The colour of the Cotswolds
Cotswold stone is famous for the warm golden tones that define some of England’s most admired villages and country houses. This stone carries that same rich palette of gold, honey and soft buff, with natural variation that gives every wall depth and individuality. It complements traditional and contemporary architecture alike, bringing warmth and elegance to any facade.
Tumbled for an aged finish
Each stone is tumbled after cutting to soften its edges and corners, creating a gently weathered, established appearance. The result has the charm of aged masonry, so new homes and extensions sit naturally in their surroundings from day one.
Built for modern construction
The stone is supplied in four course heights with a consistent bed depth, making it straightforward to lay neat, level courses:
- Course heights: 65mm, 90mm, 115mm and 140mm
- Bed depth: 100mm
- Lengths: random
The 100mm bed suits standard cavity wall construction, where the stone forms the outer leaf in place of brick. Mixing the course heights creates an attractive random coursed pattern with a traditional, hand-built look.
Ideal for
- New-build homes and housing developments
- Extensions matched to existing Cotswold-style properties
- Restoration and conservation projects
- Garden walls, gate piers and boundary walls
- Interior feature walls and fireplaces
