Our curated collection of natural stone cladding has been produce by cutting the natural face of full-sized pieces of stone to create individual cladding pieces of approx 20mm to 40mm in thickness. Retaining the natural appearance of a solid stone build wall.
Made from 100% Natural Stone
Our stone slips are suitable for both interior or external uses; from fireplaces to facades of hotels. The stone slips are to be positioned onto a wall in a random pattern and adhere to a solid wall with Natural Stone Cladding Adhesive.
How to Install Stone Cladding
-
Coverage - Ensure you have enough cladding to cover the intended area. To do this simply measure the horizontal and vertical dimensions, multiply these two figures together and then add on 10% to cover wastage and cutting.
-
Tools & Materials - Make sure you have all the correct tools to install the cladding. You will require a Mixing Bucket, Mixing Paddle, 10mm notched trowel & Natural Stone Cladding Adhesive.
-
Layout - Decide on the layout of the stone cladding; Close Bond or Traditional Bond
-
Adhesive - Mix the adhesive either by hand or using a power mixer, making enough to do a small area at a time. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions, ideally the mixture will stick to a trowel but can be flicked off easily.
-
Application - Applying a 2-3mm skim coat to the immediate area to be covered. Apply a thick coat of adhesive to the whole back of the stone cladding piece using a 10mm notched trowel. Push the stone cladding firmly into place
-
Cutting - The stone cladding can be cut using either a handheld angle grinder, versatile wet saw or hand & chisel for a traditional edged appearance.
