Description
Bring the soft, timeless character of the English countryside to your project with our Reclaimed Limestone Walling Stone. Salvaged from a traditional farm barn in Lincolnshire, this stone carries generations of weathering and history, ready to be given a second life in new walls, extensions and restorations.
Genuine barn stone with provenance
Every piece comes from a single reclaimed agricultural building, so the stone has a consistent character and history. Years of exposure to the elements have softened its faces and edges, creating a warm, weathered finish that newly quarried stone simply cannot replicate. It’s the ideal choice when you need new work to blend seamlessly with existing traditional buildings.
Warm, natural colouring
Limestone is prized for its light, warm tones. This stock features soft buff and cream shades with natural weathered variation, giving walls a gentle, mellow appearance that brightens gardens and complements both rural and period settings.
Versatile and easy to work
Supplied in random sizes, the stone is suited to traditional random walling and can be dressed on site where needed. Limestone has a long history in British building and is traditionally laid in lime mortar, which allows walls to breathe and suits the natural properties of the stone.
Ideal for
- Barn conversions and rural renovations
- Garden, boundary and retaining walls
- Extensions matched to existing limestone buildings
- Listed buildings and conservation area projects
- Raised beds, planters and garden features
Supplied in bulk bags
The stone is supplied in bulk bags, each covering approximately [X] square metres of wall face. Because it all comes from one reclaimed source, supply is limited, so we recommend ordering your full quantity at once to ensure a consistent match.
A sustainable choice
Reclaiming stone from historic buildings reduces waste and the need for new quarrying, while preserving the character of traditional British architecture.
Viewings at our Sheffield yard are welcome, and our team can help calculate quantities for your project.
